Managing association amenities involves more than simply making a reservation. Community teams need to configure spaces and availability, establish booking rules, review requests, monitor activity, and make sure residents have the information they need to book shared spaces.
That’s why we’ve revamped the Reservations experience in TownSq Community. By centralizing primary reservation workflows, managers can more easily configure amenities, manage bookings, and track reservation activity, while residents enjoy a clearer, more straightforward booking experience.
Why It Matters
Every association’s amenities come with unique reservation demands. While a pool may follow standard booking windows, event spaces might call for approvals, extended reservation times, or buffers between bookings.
Managing these different needs requires flexibility, but it shouldn’t require navigating disconnected workflows or repeatedly configuring the same settings.
Reservations now streamlines amenity management, booking rules, reservations, approvals, calendars, and reporting, giving teams greater control while simplifying everyday tasks for managers and residents alike.
What Changed
Here are some of the key enhancements included in the improved Reservations experience:
- Centralized reservation management
Reservations now organizes amenities, calendars, and pending approvals into dedicated tabs, making it easier to navigate between core reservation workflows. Managers can quickly access essential tools and actions without jumping between multiple areas of the app.
- Simpler amenity setup
A new guided setup breaks amenity configuration into clear steps for details, hours, and permissions. Managers can also add up to five images, giving residents more information about a space before booking.
- More flexible scheduling
Configure availability and time slots based on each amenity’s needs. Functions like Auto-Fill for faster setup, reservation buffers, and overlapping time slots give associations greater control over when and how amenities can be reserved.
- Shared rules across amenities
Create reservation rules that apply across multiple amenities, helping to maintain consistent booking policies without repeatedly configuring the same rules.
- Extended reservation capabilities
Custom booking windows allow residents to reserve consecutive time slots within a defined maximum duration, making it easier to book amenities for longer activities.
- Easier approval management
Reservations requiring approval are now grouped into a dedicated Pending Approval area, where managers can review, approve, or decline requests individually or in bulk.
- Clearer booking visibility
An upgraded calendar makes it easier to monitor reservation activity, with filters and visual status indicators that help managers quickly find and understand key reservation details.
- Optimized reservation reporting
Managers can continue generating reservation reports by date range and amenity, with added options to sort and filter information as needed.
Built withinput from the communities and teams that use Reservations daily, theseimprovements are part of our ongoing commitment to making every stage of amenitymanagement easier to oversee.
