Delete Inappropriate Comments

October 22, 2023

Managers can now delete users’ comments in the Architectural Review, Assignments, and Requests features.

We are committed to providing you with a safe and productive environment for managing Requests, Arch Review, and Assignments. To assist you in this role, we have implemented a feature that allows you to delete inappropriate comments made by users while maintaining transparency through audit logs.

Accessing the Delete Option

As a manager, you will notice a new feature represented by three dots (ellipsis) next to each comment in the platform. These dots indicate additional options available for each comment.

To delete a comment, simply click on the three dots next to the comment you wish to remove.

Deleting a Comment

After clicking the three dots, a menu will appear with various options. Select the "Delete" option from this menu. If you are the author of the comment you want to delete, you can proceed to delete it without providing a reason, following our current process.

Deleting Comments Made by Other Users

If you are not the author of the comment, a modal will open after selecting the "Delete" option. This modal will prompt you to choose a justification for deleting the comment.

Select an appropriate reason from the list provided. These reasons help maintain transparency and accountability.

Confirm the deletion by clicking the appropriate button.

Logging Audits

Once you confirm the deletion, the following information will be recorded in our audit logs:

  • Reason for Deletion: The reason you provided for deleting the comment.
  • Original Content: The content of the deleted comment before it was removed.
  • User Who Deleted the Comment: Your username or identifier.
  • Date and Time of Deletion: The exact date and time when the comment was deleted.
