Don’t put your health on the back burner- here are five tips to help you stay healthy this holiday season:
- Sanitize frequently.
This may seem obvious, but during the winter, people are more susceptible to getting sick. Make sure to wash your hands or use hand sanitizer frequently – especially after doing your holiday shopping or traveling.

With the cooler temperatures, you may want to skip a workout, but don’t use the holiday season as an excuse to stop moving. Participate in a fun holiday race, warm up with a hot yoga class, or get a workout from shoveling snow. Exercise is great for relieving stress, boosting your immune system and improving your mood.
- Get enough sleep.
Believe it or not, people who don’t get enough sleep are more likely to get sick. It may be tempting to stay out late for holiday parties or wake up early to get some shopping done but do your best to stick to a regular sleep schedule.
- Drink water.
Everyone loves to cozy up with some hot chocolate or enjoy a festive holiday beverage, but don’t forget to drink your water. Drinking water can boost your immune system and help prevent overeating.
- Find time to relax.
It’s easy get overwhelmed from the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. When you feel stressed, take a step back and find some time to relax. Go for a walk, try a meditation app, or simply spend some time doing something you love. Mental health is just as important as physical health!
